In the vicinity of Ust-Ilimsk (Irkutsk region), there have been increased sightings of brown bears posing a danger to local residents. This is reported by the Telegram channel Babr Mash.
Recently, one of the predators entered a gardening cooperative, causing massive destruction. Another bear directly threatened children by chasing a group of kids who were playing outside, and it was subsequently neutralized by special services.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the bears show a complete lack of fear of humans. Signs of the predators’ presence within the city limits are being recorded almost daily.
Local authorities are urging residents to take heightened precautions: avoid walking near forested areas and not leave children unsupervised. The situation remains tense, and specialists continue to monitor the conditions in the area.
